Wash and clean the strawberries and cut into cubes. Cut the peeled ginger into pieces.
Press the ginger through the garlic press over the strawberries. Add sugar and lemon juice. Roughly chop the drained peppercorns and add. Mix and let stand covered.
Turn the chilled Camembert first in flour, then in the beaten egg and in breadcrumbs. Bake in simmering oil for about 1 - 2 minutes until brown and crispy.
Arrange the strawberries on the lettuce leaves, place the cheese next to them.
