Clean the cauliflower and cut into nice, large florets. Pre-cook the florets in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, let the butter melt in a pan, cut the ham into fine strips and add, add the breadcrumbs to the pan and roast everything until golden brown.
Take the cauliflower out of the water, drain briefly and place in a large, flat casserole dish. Spread the breadcrumbs and ham mixture evenly on the cauliflower, season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with the cheese. Baked at 170 degrees for about 25 minutes.
