Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat. Prepare a baking dish.
  2. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into chips. There should be 48 fries. In a pan with plenty of oil, steam the French fries until they are firm to the bite (we still like them a bit crunchy). This takes about 10 minutes. Alternatively, the sticks can also be cooked in salt water, but the vitamins are lost here.
  3. For the sauce, in the meantime, stir together the chunky tomatoes with tomato paste, salt, pepper and oregano, finely chopped garlic and, if desired, some Provence herbs in a bowl. Cover the bottom of the baking dish with the tomato sauce.
  4. Remove the kohlrabi from the pan. Cut the Gorgonzola diagonally into 9-10 strips. Place about 6 kohlrabi fries in the middle of each 1 slice of cooked ham (I had the round one). Place 1 strip of Gorgonzola on each of the kohlrabi and roll the ham. Place the rolls on the tomato sauce. Make 8 rolls in this way. Cut the remaining 1 - 2 Gorgonzola strips into cubes and distribute them on the rolls.
  5. Place the rolls on the 2nd rail from the bottom in the hot oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Now distribute the grated mozzarella on top, switch on the fan and bake everything for another 8-10 minutes until the desired brown color is achieved.
  6. The amount is generous as the low-carb variant (4 rolls per person).
  7. If you z. For example, if you serve rice with it, 2 rolls per person will be enough and 4 people will be full. But then it`s no longer low carb.
