Cut the bacon into strips approx. 1 cm wide, fry in a pan with a little oil and keep warm. Cut the schnitzel into small pieces (about 5 small pieces per schnitzel) fry in a little oil on both sides for about 1.5 minutes and keep warm.
Dice the onion and fry in a pan until translucent. Add the oregano. Take out half of the fried onion and set aside. Add the finely chopped clove of garlic, diced paprika and zucchini to the onions in the pan and fry briefly. Pour water on, add crème fraîche and stock. Simmer for 8-10 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika powder and chilli.
Fill a baking dish as follows:
- Sprinkle the bottom with paprika powder
- bacon
- fried schnitzel
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika powder
- Spread the rest of the crème fraîche on top
- Peppers and zucchini vegetables
- remaining onion
- sprinkle with Gouda cheese
Bake on the middle rack in the oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
