Peel and quarter the potatoes. For particularly large potatoes, cut the pieces into eighths. Put the quarters in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper. Add paprika powder, caraway seeds and rosemary. Pour a little water (small cup) over the mixture. (Be careful not to use too much water, otherwise the potatoes will be too soft).
Put the baking dish in the oven and bake at high heat (approx. 200 degrees) until the potatoes are golden brown, which takes between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the type of stove.
Tip: For gas stoves, place a bowl / casserole dish with water on the lower shelf. This will make the potatoes even crisper. Chicken is also delicious.
