The tomatoes are washed and cut into slices. I always cut four slices out of a tomato.
Four pieces are cut from the piece of sheep`s cheese. I first cut the slices in half and then cut them crosswise again. The individual slices are then approx. 1.5 cm thick.
Now I tear 4 pieces of aluminum foil into shape and put two slices of tomatoes and one slice of sheep`s cheese on the first piece, season with salt and pepper and put the other two tomato slices on top.
Now I put two leaves of basil in the aluminum foil and put a packet together. It is important that the ends of the aluminum foil point upwards, otherwise you will have to laboriously clean the oven / tray.
Bake the whole thing for about 20 minutes.
Tip: You can choose to use other herbs, garlic or shepherd`s cheese made from cow`s milk, but the sheep`s cheese is simply much creamier.
