Instructions

  1. Peel, core and finely grate the apple (alternatively you can use applesauce to which no sugar has been added), mash the bananas well. Beat the two eggs until frothy. Mix the flour, baking powder and cinnamon, add to the banana-apple-egg mash and stir briefly but well. Finally fold in the chopped walnuts and fill everything into a loaf pan, the larger the pan, the flatter the bread. Now bake at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes (stick test!).
  2. The bread rises well in the oven, but collapses a little when it cools (like cheesecake, for example). The dough remains rather sappy, i.e. more compact than e.g., Cake batter. Let it cool down well before cutting!
  3. Baked like this, one has about 127 kcal with 12 pieces. The entire bread then has about 1524 kcal.
  4. The bread lasts about a week in a tin and, in my opinion, tastes even better than fresh. Freezing also works very well.
