Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and spread butter on a 23 × 13 loaf pan.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix the softened butter with the sugar until creamy, then add one egg after the other and stir in.
  3. Peel the ripe bananas and mash them with a fork until you have a nice pulp. This is then stirred into the butter mixture. Now add the flour mixture and stir in until a smooth dough is formed. You fill it into the prepared loaf pan and bake the cake for 50-60 minutes. It is best to do a chopsticks test in the middle. Take out and let stand briefly, turn out of the tin and let cool down on a wire rack.
  4. For the icing, mix the powdered sugar with the vanilla extract and the water. It is best to start with 1 tablespoon of water and then add whatever water you need. It should be a thick pouring pour that is then spread over the cake.
