Preheat oven to 180 °C (356 °F). Rinse barley groats, put in a saucepan, cover with water, add a pinch of salt, stir, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the barley is soft and the water is absorbed. Stir in 30 g butter and 50-70 g sugar. In a bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Pour the milk-egg mixture into the barley and stir to combine. Rinse the raisins in hot water, add to the barley, and stir to combine. Transfer the barley mixture to a baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes at 180 °C (356 °F) until the top is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with hot tea or coffee.
