Instructions

  1. Wash and, if necessary, brush the potatoes, I took early potatoes. I like to leave the peel on, so I make sure I buy nice and good potatoes when I buy them. After washing, cut the potatoes into approx. 0.5 cm thick slices. Peel and halve the onions. Then cut them into slices.
  2. Mix the potatoes with the olive oil in a bowl. Add freshly ground pepper and mix again. I deliberately avoided salt because the ham cubes release salt.
  3. Now place half of the potatoes in an aluminum dish, half of the onions and half of the ham cubes. Then distribute the remaining ingredients like the first part. Now close the filled aluminum dish tightly with aluminum foil. I always take two strips of foil.
  4. Then place the aluminum dish on the gas grill and cook the potatoes with the lid closed and at approx. 140 ° C for 35 - 40 minutes.
  5. A delicious potato cream, aioli and a mixed salad go perfectly with it. Not to forget a delicious sausage or steak from the grill.
