Cook the penne in plenty of salted water according to the manufacturer`s instructions. Cook the beans in salted water until they are firm to the bite and drain well.
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Cut smoked pork into strips and fry in a pan with the onions.
First add the beans and then the penne and let fry briefly. Season to taste with butter, salt, pepper and the herbs of Provence and serve.
