Mix the buttermilk, vanilla sugar, lemon juice and 4 tablespoons sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
Sort raspberries and blackberries, wash. Wash the currants and strip them from the panicles. Wash, clean and halve the strawberries. Crumble black bread and mix with 1 tablespoon sugar. Pour the buttermilk into 4 deep plates. Add the berries and finally sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
