Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 2-3 cm cubes, place in a saucepan and cover with water. Peel the garlic and cut into very large cubes or leave whole, add to the potatoes. Add the salt and bay leaves and cook for about 30 minutes, until the potatoes are soft. Drain the water and remove the bay leaves.
  2. Add the butter and some milk to the potatoes and garlic and mash everything with the potato masher. Add milk until the desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Rub the nutmeg into the pulp and stir everything again, season with salt if necessary.
  4. Other ingredients can now be added as desired, such as cheese or fresh herbs.
