Instructions

  1. You make the cake either with batter or with sponge batter. The sponge base for the cake is in the recipe from my friend, but I also like to use a sponge cake because it is not so fatty.
  2. For the biscuit, beat the egg yolks and lukewarm water until frothy, stir in 180 g of powdered sugar and then add 90 g of flour and 90 g of cornstarch, spoon-wise. Finally fold in the stiffly beaten egg white. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes. If you like, you can spread a thin layer of jam on the cooled base before adding the remaining ingredients.
  3. If you prefer to make the batter base, beat eggs and sugar until foamy, add the cup of oil and then the cup of Fanta. Then stir in the flour mixed with baking powder, spoon by spoon. Bake the dough until golden brown at 180 ° C and allow to cool.
  4. Boil the 2 packs of red groats according to the package instructions with 1/2 l water and 4 tablespoon sugar and allow to cool a little, then fold in the 1 1/2 cups of finished red groats. Spread on the cooled floor and let it cool down.
  5. Beat 2 cups of cream with 2 packs of cream stiffener and vanilla sugar until stiff and spread on the cake. (But I only ever use 1 cup of cream and I can use it for the whole tray. That is then quite thin, but it is enough for us.)
  6. Finally, top with butter biscuits and sprinkle with powdered sugar. The butter biscuits will then be a little softer with the cream and powdered sugar.
