Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Grease the baking dish. Cut the ham into cubes, mix with the vegetables and pasta and place in the pan.
For the sauce, bring the milk and cream to the boil, season well with salt and nutmeg. Remove from heat and stir in two eggs. Pour the sauce over the casserole and sprinkle with grated cheese.
