First you cut the package with the soy block into small cubes. Peel the onions and cut them either into thin slices or into fine cubes.
Fry the soy and onions in a pan with a little oil. Season well with salt and pepper (if you like it a little hotter, you can also add a little paprika powder).
In the meantime, cook the sauerkraut. When the soy cubes are nice and brown, add the mushrooms to the pan. As soon as the sauerkraut is ready, simply add the soy and mushroom mixture to the sauerkraut. Then add the tomato paste and stir. The bigos should be left to steep for about 15 minutes before it is consumed.
