Instructions

  1. Cook the spare ribs with a quartered onion until cooked. I always calculate an hour for this, depending on the thickness.
  2. In the meantime, peel and dice an onion and garlic and fry in 1 tablespoon of oil until translucent. Add tomato ketchup, lemon juice, Worcester sauce, vinegar, mustard, honey and oregano. Stir the sauce while heating until the honey has completely dissolved.
  3. Divide the cooked ribs 2-3 ribs apart. Mix the remaining oil with the chili powder and brush the ribs with it.
  4. Place on the grill or in the oven under the grill for 20-25 minutes. Brush the sauce thickly over and over again for the last 10 minutes until they are nice and crispy on all sides.
  5. Pour the remaining sauce into a bowl and serve as an accompaniment to the grilled meat.
