Instructions

  1. Wash the beans and boil them with plenty of water. Finely chop the onions, garlic and paprika. Dice the bacon. Heat the oil in a deep saucepan and fry the bacon, fry the chopped peppers, onions, oregano, caraway seeds, tomatoes, bay leaf and garlic until translucent. Fry the washed rice and beans briefly, fill up with the remaining liquid and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
  2. Chicken, potatoes or fish go well with it. In Cuba this rice is eaten with almost everything.
