Black Forest Brownies
Instructions
- Grease a baking pan of approx. 25 x 15 or 20 x 20 cm and put it in a cool place.
- Sort out some of the drained cherries for the garnish.
- Preheat the oven to 190 ° C top / bottom heat.
- For the dough, melt the chocolate in a water bath while stirring constantly.
- Stir in the butter, remove the mixture from the heat and refrigerate.
- Now beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until frothy, pour in the sugar and keep beating until the mixture is thick and creamy.
- Mix the cocoa with the flour and baking powder, stir into the egg cream together with the chocolate mixture, kirsch and cherry juice.
- Now pour the mixture into the prepared form, distribute the cherries on top and “press in” a little if necessary.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. The brownies should of course still be moist inside when they come out of the oven!
- Then let cool down well
- For the topping, mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until creamy. Whip the cream until stiff and fold under. Refrigerate.
- As soon as the brownies have cooled down, remove them from the mold and place on a cake plate
- (Whoever overturns them: please put them on the plate so that the cherries are on top again!).
- Now spread the cream cheese and cream on it, put the cherries that have been set aside and sprinkle everything with the chocolate shavings.
