Heat the water in a large saucepan. Hang in the tea bags and add the rum (if you have problems with the strength of the drink, you can first take half the amount of rum and then try it). Cut the lime and orange (both should be untreated) into slices and add to the pan with the peel.
Heat the whole thing until it boils and then keep warm on level 1. Let the tea steep (3 - 4 minutes) and then remove the tea bags and the citrus fruits. Add a handful of rock sugar and honey to taste. You can only sweeten the grog in this way or, if you want, then add normal sugar afterwards so that it can be sweetened to taste. It should be served hot and ideally in a coffee mug or tea glasses.
If you want, you can also add a cinnamon stick or use other types of tea (e.g. fruit or apple tea). Always a hit in winter at parties or for the ski lodge. You can also make the grog in advance and when it has cooled down, fill it in bottles and then heat mugs in the microwave.
