- Clean the peas. Finely dice the streaky bacon and onions and sauté in the heated lard until they are translucent.
- As soon as the onions begin to brown, add the peas and mix well. Add the finely chopped herbs and honey after approx. 5 minutes.
- Steam in a covered pot for approx. 20 minutes, turning frequently. Finally, season to taste and serve.
