Instructions

  1. Brush the rabbit legs with mustard on all sides, season well with salt and pepper and leave to steep overnight.
  2. Let the oil get hot in a saucepan and fry the legs on all sides. In the meantime, peel the onions and cut them into large pieces. Also cut the smoked bacon into large pieces. When the legs are well seared, place the onions and bacon on top of the meat. Cover the pot and stew the legs for about 45 minutes, turning them occasionally and adding a little water.
  3. When the meat is tender, remove it with the bacon and keep warm. Mix the gravy briefly with the magic wand. if you like, you can thicken the sauce with a sauce thickener.
  4. It goes well with boiled potatoes, dumplings and red cabbage.
