Cut the rolls into small cubes, pour the boiling milk over them, allow them to swell well and then stir until smooth.
Beat the fat until foamy, gradually add the sugar, the egg yolks, the baking oil, the salt, the baking powder and the baked rolls. Finally, carefully fold in the egg white, which has been beaten to stiff snow.
Pour the mixture into a well-greased casserole dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and top with flakes of butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200-225 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
