Toast bread or rolls cut into approx. 1 cm cubes, add eggs and knead. Heat milk (do not boil) and pour over it.
Sauté the onion in the fat and add the parsley, then add to the dough, dice the beer ham (approx. 0.5 cm in size). Knead everything well nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs or flour on the dough to set.
Form bread dumplings, dust your hands with breadcrumbs or flour beforehand. Dumplings can be pre-formed and placed on a board.
Place in boiling salted water. When the dumplings float on top, simmer gently for another 8-10 minutes.
Tip: Dumplings can also be frozen and / or heated over steam. Alternatively, the dumplings can be fried in the pan.
