Boil 1 l strong tea (e.g. East Frisian mixture). Soak the prunes together with the raisins in hot tea for 12 hours.
Mix the eggs with the sugar, gradually add the flour and stir in the salt, rum and milk. Spread the prunes and raisins in a large, flat cake tin and pour the batter mixture over them.
Bake in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for about an hour until the cake is nicely browned. Serve chilled - or pour over the cake while it is still warm - as you wish!
Tip 1: If you like, you can also add some cinnamon and / or ginger!
Tip 2: Instead of black tea, rooibos tea can also be used.
