Divide the broccoli into small roses and season with a little salt. Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for about two minutes. Drain the cooked broccoli and chop finely. Mix the broccoli, shallot, garlic, cheddar cheese, eggs and breadcrumbs well and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
Shape the mixture into small portions and place them evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the vegetable patties for 8-9 minutes, then turn and bake on the other side for another 8-9 minutes until golden brown.
