Cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Put in a bowl. Finely chop the garlic, fold into the tomatoes with the basil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in 4 tablespoons of oil. Let everything soak for at least 4 hours.
Can be done the day before. Then it tastes particularly good.
Ciabatta bread or ciabatta rolls go well with this. We like to eat it with grooves.
