Instructions

  1. Mix buckwheat flour with starch and baking powder. Beat eggs with sugar, a pinch of salt and soft butter until frothy. First stir in the milk and then add the flour mixture.
  2. Let rest for about 15 minutes.
  3. Grease the waffle iron with a little butter and bake golden-brown waffles in portions.
  4. The buckwheat waffles are soft, not too sweet and have a slightly nutty taste. Apple compote or whipped cream with fresh fruit or jam go very well with it.
  5. The amount of dough for me, in a heart waffle iron, is 8-10 pieces.
