Instructions

  1. First cut the rosemary, garlic and basil into small pieces and then finely chop with a knife until there are lumps. Wash the lettuce, chop the tomatoes and peel the avocado and then cut into strips and drizzle with lemon juice, so they won`t tarnish.
  2. Next, put the minced meat in a bowl and season with the spices rosemary, basil, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper. Then knead well and set aside for the time being.
  3. A hand blender and a narrow container are required for the mayonnaise. First add the raw egg yolks. Then the mustard and a dash of lemon juice. Pour the oil slowly into the container with constant mixing, the oil will solidify while beating until everything is nice and creamy and firm. Finally season with salt and pepper.
  4. Shape the meat into four equally sized patties weighing approx. 150 grams. Note that these shrink slightly when frying. Now fry in the pan with a little oil for approx. 2 - 3 minutes on each side, depending on thickness and preference. If you like, you can also fry the bacon at the same time.
  5. After the meat has finished roasting, it is time to assemble. To do this, first cut the rolls open and coat the lower side with barbecue sauce. Put the patty on top. Then add the tomato, lettuce and the sliced avocado to the patty. Before closing the burger, put a good dollop of mayonnaise on top.
