Ingredients
White cabbage – 400 g
Onions – 100 g
Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
Fresh dill – 10 g
Mayonnaise – 6 tbsp
Sour cream – 5 tbsp
Chicken eggs – 3 pcs.
Flour – 6 tbsp
Baking powder – 2 teaspoon
Butter – 20 g
Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon. for frying + 1 tablespoon. for mold lubrication
Let’s start by making the pie filling. Finely chop the cabbage, you can also grate the cabbage on a coarse grater, then the filling will be more uniform.
Dice the onion.
Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the vegetable oil. Put cabbage and onion in a frying pan with butter. Add salt and black pepper. Simmer cabbage with onions for 10 minutes, until the onions are transparent.
Add tomato paste to the cabbage filling.
Finely chop the dill greens and add to the pan. We will simmer the filling for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the filling is being prepared, prepare a pie dough with mayonnaise and sour cream. Put sour cream and mayonnaise in a bowl, add eggs, baking powder, salt and pepper.
Slowly adding flour, knead the pie dough.
Put half the dough in a baking dish or in a frying pan greased with vegetable oil.
Distribute all the cabbage filling on top of the bottom layer of the dough.
Cover the filling with the remaining dough. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the cabbage pie. Send the jellied cabbage pie to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 35-40 minutes.
Cabbage pie with mayonnaise and sour cream is ready. The pie is good both hot and cold.
