Young cabbage solyanka with smoked sausage is a very tasty and at the same time simple and easy-to-prepare dish that anyone can handle. In addition to smoked sausage, we add sophistication in the form of olives. We will stew cabbage with smoked meats and olives in tomato sauce. Believe me, it will turn out even tastier than the classic cabbage hodgepodge.
The most important ingredient is young cabbage. In the summer season, cabbage is the most tender and juicy, so all dishes from such cabbage are the most delicious.
We will prepare all the necessary ingredients. The most important ingredient is young cabbage. In the summer season, cabbage is the most tender and juicy, so all dishes from such cabbage are the most delicious.
Peel and dice the onions and shallots. Peel the garlic as well. Then we chop one clove of garlic very finely – we add it to the hodgepodge almost at the end of cooking. Chop the remaining two garlic cloves coarsely.
Chop the cabbage into strips.
Heat half of the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic, chopped into large pieces. As soon as the garlic starts to redden, we immediately remove it – we no longer need it, because it gave all its aroma to the oil, and this is exactly what we wanted.
Add chopped onion to the pan and fry over medium heat until light golden, stirring constantly with a spatula, about five minutes. Then remove the fried onions from the pan.
Then add cabbage to the pan and fry it for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the cabbage is fried, cut the smoked sausage.
Fry the sausage in another skillet with the remaining vegetable oil for 2 minutes and remove from heat.
Then add the tomato sauce to the cabbage. Stir and simmer for about 10 more minutes.
After 10 minutes add fried sausage, olives, onion and finely chopped garlic to the cabbage, mix.
After a minute, add the chopped dill. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Mix again. Remove the pan from the heat, cover it with a lid, because the cabbage hodgepodge with smoked sausage and olives is ready, you just need to let it saturate with the aromas of greenery quite a bit.
A minute later, we lay out a fragrant hodgepodge of young cabbage on plates and invite everyone to the table.
