Cut the lime into eighths, place in a caipirinha or suitable cocktail glass and mash with a pestle until all the juice has escaped.
Peel a mango. Cut off the pulp around the core. Puree in a blender until you have a fine pulp. Add 3 teaspoons of brown, coarse cane sugar and fill the glass to the brim with a handful of crushed ice or more. Pour a pinch of vanilla powder or a splash of extract over the ice.
Pour the Pitú Maturidado over it and let the ice melt. This creates enough liquid immediately to enjoy the cocktail straight away.
