Cake “Women’s Caprice” is a very tasty and easy-to-prepare sponge cake with condensed milk cream, which can be easily prepared both for family tea drinking and for a festive feast. Cake cakes are prepared with various additives – with nuts, poppy seeds, and raisins.

  1. For one crust, beat 1 egg with 0.5 cups of sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add 0.5 cups sour cream and stir in the egg mixture with a whisk/spatula or mixer.
  3. Pour in 0.5 cups of sifted flour and stir the dough until smooth.
  4. At the very end, add 0.5 teaspoon to the dough. soda and mix the dough thoroughly.
  5. Grind the walnuts (if desired, they can be pre-dried in a dry frying pan or in the oven) chop with a knife.
  6. Add walnuts to the dough and mix thoroughly.
  7. Make a dough on sour cream for two more cakes, adding poppy seeds to one (if desired, you can grind it first, or you can leave it as it is), and raisins to the other.
  8. Prepare 3 tins for baking cakes with a diameter of 18-20 cm. Line the bottom of the tins with paper, and grease the sides with a thin layer of butter, and dust with flour. Fill out the forms with dough.
  9. Bake the cakes at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes, check the readiness with a skewer. Cool the finished cakes on a wire rack.
  10. For the cream, beat the soft butter for 2-3 minutes.
  11. Without stopping whipping the butter, pour in condensed milk in small portions until a fluffy smooth cream is obtained. If desired, at the very end, for aroma, you can add 1 tbsp alcohol (cognac or rum) or vanilla extract.
    (If you are a little buttercream lover, you can make sour cream or buttercream (cream cheese + heavy cream) instead.
  12. Smear the cooled cakes with cream.
  13. Place the cakes with cream on top of each other, brush the cake on top with cream. Decorate the finished cake “Women’s Caprice” to your liking.
  14. Let the cake brew for a couple of hours before serving.
