Instructions

  1. For the dressing, peel the white onion and then finely chop it. Mix the onion with oil, vinegar, water, herbs and sugar and then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Wash the lettuce and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel the cucumber and cut into thin slices. Peel the red onions and cut into thin rings. Clean and cut the tomatoes into eighths. Take the tuna out of the can, drain and chop into 1cm pieces. Chop the cooked ham into pieces. Hard-boil the eggs, peel and quarter them.
  3. Put the lettuce in a bowl, top with the cucumber, onions, tomatoes, tuna, cooked ham and the Gouda cheese. Place the quartered eggs on top. Finally, pour the dressing over the salad and leave it covered for about 1/2 hour.
  4. Hearty rolls or baguettes are ideal side dishes.
