Peel the apples and cut into slices or cubes. Heat the coconut oil in the pan and add the apples. Leave in the pan for about 2 minutes while stirring. Then add the coconut flakes and finally the apple syrup (alternatively, agave syrup can be used and if it doesn`t have to be vegan, honey too). Stir well and fry for another 5 minutes. Finally, add cinnamon or speculoos spice as needed (it tastes good even without the spice).
The caramelized apples, for example, taste great with game or straight as a dessert. As a dessert, it tastes very good with chocolate ice cream, cinnamon ice cream (then of course do not season with cinnamon), vanilla ice cream, as a filling for pancakes / pancakes or together with yogurt or quark.
Tip: This is a great way to use leftovers for wrinkled, old apples or apples that you have to cut out anyway.
