Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Sear the meat cubes in half of the butter in an ovenproof saucepan.
  3. Remove and in the same saucepan sauté the onions with the garlic in the remaining butter.
  4. Stir in flour and let sweat for 1 minute. Then add the beer, tomato paste and sugar. Cook while stirring until the sauce is creamy.
  5. Put the meat back in the saucepan. Tie the leek, celery, bay leaf and thyme together and add. Then put in the preheated oven and stew for 1.5 hours. Finally, remove the herb bunch and season with salt and pepper.
  6. With mashed potatoes and of course a delicious beer
