Roughly chop the onion and finely chop the garlic cloves. Peel the carrots and cut into fine strips so that they cook faster.
Heat the fat in a saucepan (should have a lid) and fry the onion cubes briefly. Add the thinly sliced carrots to the onions and then the garlic. Fry a little more, but make sure that nothing burns. Pour orange or multivitamin juice over it. Not so much that you can`t see any of the vegetables, but enough that the vegetables can simmer in them. Put the lid on and let the vegetables simmer until soft. If the liquid has boiled away but the vegetables are not cooked, just add a little more juice and let simmer. Finally, season with the spices and refine with a dash of whipped cream or sour cream.
