Instructions

  1. Peel the carrots, grate them finely and squeeze them out. Separate the eggs.
  2. Mix the butter with the sugar until frothy, add the egg yolks and keep stirring. Add the carrots, hazelnuts and chocolate drops one after the other. Mix the flour with baking powder and stir in. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and fold in carefully.
  3. Put the dough in a greased form and bake in the oven at 175 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool down. Melt the chocolate icing in a water bath, spread it evenly on the cake and let it dry.
