When all ingredients (except the spices) have been peeled and cut, put everything together in a large saucepan with water and boil, add 2 teaspoons of salt and possibly 1 teaspoon of garden herbs to the boiling water.
Cooking time depends on how thick the vegetables have been cut, can take from 20-40 minutes. It`s done when the carrots can be easily pecked with a fork.
After boiling, pour off the water and mash and season everything well.
