Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat.
  2. Clean the cauliflower and cut into small florets.
  3. Finely chop the onion. Knead the minced meat with the onion, eggs and mustard. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Knead in some breadcrumbs until the mixture binds and has a slightly softer consistency than meatball dough.
  4. Prepare muffin tins or a muffin tray. Shape the minced meat mixture into balls and place one in each muffin tin and press down lightly. The muffin tin should be about half to two thirds full.
  5. Press a cauliflower florets into the center of each muffin pan until it touches the bottom. Cover each muffin pan with plenty of grated cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until the cheese is crispy and lightly browned.
  7. Makes 12 to 15 pieces, depending on the size of the cauliflower, the amount of mince and the size of the muffin tins.
  8. Potatoes of all kinds and a green salad go well with this. Also very tasty cold as finger food.
