Peel the celeriac and cut into 4 slices approximately 2 cm thick.
Cook the celeriac slices in the broth (or in a steamer) for 15 minutes. Remove and pat dry. Heat the clarified butter in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the celeriac slices until golden brown on both sides.
Place the celeriac slices on a broiler rack. Top each with a slice of ham, pineapple, and a slice of cheese. Broil at 230°C (450°F) for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
If desired, dust with curry powder before serving.
