Peel the celery tuber, cut in half and cook in a little water until firm to the bite; this can take between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the tuber. The tuber can be cooked the day before.
Prepare a batter from the other ingredients. Let the dough soak for about 20 minutes. If you want the dough to have a spicy taste, 1/2 teaspoon spice mixture can be added.
Cut the celery bulb into 1 cm thick slices.
Dip the celery slices in the somewhat thick dough and bake in hot oil or coconut fat, electric setting 2. Without a spice mixture, the batter is mild and the taste of the celery bulb is good to taste.
It goes well with mashed potatoes with roasted onions and strongly seasoned mushrooms.
