Instructions

  1. To prepare, clean the mushrooms and cut them into pieces. Sweat in oil, let cool. Cut the ham into strips.
  2. For the dough, mix the flour and baking powder and sift into a mixing bowl. Add the cheese, eggs and milk and use the hand mixer to make a dough. Add the mushrooms and ham strips, stir in briefly and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour the batter into a muffin tin (greased, floured) and put it in the oven on a wire rack. Bake at 160 ° C (convection) or 180 ° C (top / bottom heat) for approx. 20 - 25 minutes. Let the muffins stand in the mold for 10 minutes, then remove them from the mold and serve lukewarm.
  4. Instead of the ham, fold in 1/2 of the cleaned paprika, cut into very fine cubes. The muffins taste best when they are lukewarm and should be baked again briefly. They can also be sprinkled with grated cheese before baking.
  5. Serve the muffins as a snack or small meal with a mixed salad.
