Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and cook. Press the hot potatoes through a potato press or mash them in the pot with a masher. Then stir in the softened butter and grated cheese. Season with salt and nutmeg. Heat the milk straight or mixed with cream and gradually stir into the potato mixture until the desired consistency is achieved.
