Kefir – 400 ml
Butter – 140 g
Hard cheese – 300-340 g
Green onions – 1 bunch
Flour – about 260 g
Large eggs – 2 pcs.
Sugar – 2 teaspoon
Salt – 0.25 teaspoon (or to taste)
Baking powder – 2 teaspoon (no top)
Vegetable oil (if necessary) – for lubricating the cells of the electric waffle iron
To begin with, grate cheese. Finely chop a bunch of green onions.
We mix kefir at room temperature, 2 eggs, melted butter (it should not be too hot), sugar.
Add baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the flour. If the cheese is unsalted, add more salt. Sift to liquid ingredients. Stir so that there are no lumps. The dough should be smooth and smooth. If the mixture comes out too thin, add more flour.
Add cheese and green onions. We mix. The dough is ready to bake.
We heat up the electric waffle iron. If you have an appliance without a non-stick coating, grease the surface with vegetable oil before each subsequent dough, otherwise, the waffles will stick.
