Ingredients
Chicken Breast – 500 Grams
Starch – 2 Teaspoons
Flour – 2 Teaspoons
Soy Sauce – 250 Milliliters (150 ml – for marinating the breast, 100 – for the sauce)
Wash the chicken breast, remove the meat from the bone, and cut into small pieces.
Mix the flour and starch together. Add the chicken pieces and toss until evenly coated.
Transfer the coated chicken to a bowl and pour in 150 ml soy sauce, making sure all pieces are covered. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
While the chicken marinates, peel and finely chop the onion. Rinse the peppers, remove the seeds, and cut into strips.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the peppers and onions, cooking for 5-7 minutes until the onions become transparent. Transfer to a plate.
In a bowl, combine 100 ml soy sauce, 2 tbsp ketchup, 3 teaspoons honey, 40 grams grated ginger, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Stir until well mixed.
Remove the chicken from the refrigerator after 2 hours. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken for 5 minutes until golden brown.
Add the cooked peppers and onions to the pan with the chicken, pour in the sauce, and stir well.
Pour in 0.5 cups water, stir well, cover with a lid, and simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes. The chicken is done when it reaches 74°C (165°F) internally.
