Coarsely chop the onions and finely chop the garlic.
Let the clarified butter get hot in a large saucepan. Fry the untreated chicken thighs on both sides for 3-4 minutes. Fry the onion and garlic. Then add the chicken stock until the thighs are completely covered. If you like, you can replace 500 ml of the chicken broth with cola. Don`t worry - a sticky cola taste won`t come through. It only adds a touch of flavor to the dish! Stir in paprika powder, tomato paste and possibly cayenne pepper. Let everything simmer for about 40 minutes. Finally, add salt, broth or more paprika powder to taste.
Traditionally there are dough dumplings (water sparrows) or boiled potatoes.
