Sate is a dish of Indonesian cuisine. These are small meat or fish kebabs served with a spicy sauce. You can make it yourself from peanut butter and coconut milk, or you can buy a ready-made sauce for “sate”.

Ingredients
Chicken meat without bones and skin (breast or thigh), cut into strips – 300 g
Soak 8 wooden skewers in cold water for 30 minutes.
Toss in the chicken pieces, peanut butter, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, chilli sauce, and lemon juice. Season with salt, pepper, and stir. Leave to marinate.
Combine peanut butter, lime juice, coconut milk, and chilli powder in a saucepan. Put on low heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little water if needed. Remove from heat.
Heat the broiler well. Place the chicken pieces on the skewers. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side. Serve hot kebabs with lettuce and cooked sauce.
