Sesame Chicken is an easy-to-prepare chicken dish with a tangible oriental accent. Tender chicken meat, viscous sesame sauce, soft vegetables – a wonderful dish for lunch or dinner!
In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and chopped garlic. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.
Cut the red pepper and green pepper into small cubes. Cut the onion into small cubes. Chop the green onions and set aside.
Cut the chicken into small cubes.
In a bowl, beat the egg whites with the corn starch. Add the chicken cubes and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the peppers and onion cubes. Fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.
Transfer the cooked vegetables to a plate. Add the chicken to the pan and fry over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
Return the cooked vegetables and chopped green onions to the pan with the chicken. Cook together for 30 seconds.
Pour the sesame sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Cook for 1-2 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
