Instructions

  1. Soak the soy cubes in water according to the instructions on the packet. Peel the onions, finely dice and fry in oil until they begin to take on color. Add the finely chopped garlic and continue roasting until both are brown but not burnt. Put aside.
  2. Drain the soy cubes and fry them in the oil. When the soy cubes are colored, add the chopped tomatoes and the canned tomato juice, kidney beans and corn kernels.
  3. Season with ketchup, tabasco, cumin, pepper and salt. Add 1-2 tablespoon tomato paste, stir. Season to taste and, if necessary, add seasoning. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes. If the chilli is too thin, thicken with more tomato paste. If it`s too thick, add a little water.
  4. Be careful with the salt as many ingredients are already salted.
